  • Do I need to speak Spanish to join the program?
    • No prior Spanish knowledge is required. However, Spanish classes are mandatory for all participants as part of cultural immersion and to support communication outside the classroom.
  • Is Spanish language learning mandatory?
    • Answer: Yes, 20 hours/week, tailored to your level, for full immersion.)
  • Do I need prior teaching experience or a TEFL certificate?
    • Answer: No, native English speakers with no prior experience are welcome. Our program offers practical application and optional online or on-site certification. Please contact us if you would be interested.
  • What kind of community involvement is expected?
    • Answer: Volunteer English teaching (18 hours/week) in local settings, fostering cultural exchange and making a direct impact.
  • What's included in the program fee?
    • Answer: Shared accommodation at Palacio Piedras, Spanish classes, teaching placement, and ongoing support.
  •  What is included in the free accommodation?
    • Volunteers receive shared housing with basic amenities like a bed, Wi-Fi, kitchen access, own key, and bathroom  facilities. 
  • Are meals included
    • Meals are not included. Volunteers will have access to kitchen facilities to cook their own food. Please do not cook when there are classes to prevent disturbances. 
  • Will I have time to travel or explore?
    • Yes, volunteers generally have weekends off and free time during the week, allowing for local travel, excursions, or personal time.
